We are Richie and Sheryl Kamen, directors and owners of Camp Equinunk and Camp Blue Ridge. Before we became camp directors, we both began as educators, both with doctorates in education. But, more important: we are parents. We understand that choosing a great camp can be a difficult position.

And, we are sure that you don’t take this lightly. So we want you to know that we take summer fun very seriously: We’re hands on, and we are here to help guide you through your decision process. To make the summer camp experience exciting and reassuring for the entire family, we do whatever we have to do to establish a "partnership in parenting" with you.

We do all the things that many other camps do to help kids grow physically and emotionally . . . to ensure memorable, fun-filled, wholesome, well-supervised experiences . . . and to help campers develop new skills and a sense of independence and to make new life-long friends. But, you’ve probably heard that somewhere else, and perhaps even several other places.
