Blue Ridge Alma Mater
My mother as a young girl she would tell me Of a special place she embraced so long ago A place amidst the mountains and the valleys Of a place I would surely come to know
In summer months she said That she would go there
To learn of life to laugh to cry to play She speaks of streams of friendships That still flow there
Singing songs with words
She knows like yesterday
There are places in a lifetime
That you never leave
You’re frozen in a lasting memory
As we sing for all the voices of the ages
All the sisters of Camp Blue Ridge sing with me All the sisters of Camp Blue Ridge sing with me
As time goes by I too may have a daughter To her I’ll pass these feelings that are mine That we are all connected to each other In an everlasting tapestry of time
How long can the legacy grow
If we hold it close love will make it so
Well the beauty of Camp Blue Ridge
Is you never change
You’re frozen in a lasting memory
As we sing for all the voices of the ages
All the sisters of Camp Blue Ridge sing with me
So come take my hand my friend
And this dream will never end
All the sisters of Camp Blue Ridge sing with me All the sisters of Camp Blue Ridge sing with me
